What's with the name?
We once heard it said that the large publishing conglomerates are the royalty of the literary world, the agents and their writers are the nobility, and the writers on the outside – new writers, niche writers, or writers who don’t wish to be part of the royal court at all – must therefore be the peasants.
And perhaps, in the literary sense, they are. These writers work the creative soil, grow stories from the fertile grounds of the imagination, understand the way words work and use them to craft worlds. They live and breathe writing. They create works that nourish. And what these artisans lack in connections, they make up in artistry. At Peasantry Press, Story is King.
